Hoodie and make up Haul..

So a few days ago me and my friend Jenna popped into town. As I'm super skint at the moment she lent me some money to get a few bits :)

Up first is the hoodie from republic, this item was in my february wish list and had it not been in the sale I wouldn't have got it but it was down from £20 to £13.50!

It is so warm and cosy and goes with so many different outfits :) Loves it!

Next up is the make up bits, over the past week the hype around Maybelline's Rocket  Volum' Mascara has been huge. So I decided I should see whether the hype was valid or just disappointing.  The packaging is lush and the brush its self is really good the small bristles help to get really close to the base of the lashes giving super volume. The price of this mascara is £7.99 which I think is an average price. I have been using this mascara since I got it and I think the hype is well worth it this is an amazing mascara the only down side I can see is the bristles are a bit spikey in places but apart from that its great.

I got another Maybelline product which is the 14 hour Superstay lipstick in the shade Stay with me coral. The colour is lovely great for the transition into spring. I don't agree with the 14 hour stay though I have been wearing it and I would say its more like 7 hour stay but still that is good. The price of this lipstick is £6.99. There are a few other colours I would like to try from the range, I would recommend them as they feel and smell great which is a bonus to the colour pay off :)

Finally I got a blusher by the brand MUA. It was a bargain at £1!! I got the shade number 2 because after swatching all 6 this one suited my skin tone the best. I really like it and the pigmentation is really good.

Have you tried any of the hyped up products?

Friends date makeup :)

So as it was valentines day this week I decided I would do my friends make up as if they were going on dates.
I really like how the looks turned out and will be trying them out on myself sometime.
For my friend Lauren I wanted to make her skin look flawless and radiant as she had a few blemishes.

To create the look I use Rimmel's wake me up foundation all over the face. This foundation is great because it instantly brightens up the face and gives a medium coverage. To cover any blemishes I used the Collection 2000 concealer the coverage of this concealer is amazing and hides any problem areas.
Next for her eyes I used a range of browns and golds to give her eyes a neutral but interesting look. To add depth I added some liquid liner across her upper lash line this defines her eyes.
For mascara I used two different ones, I used the E.L.F. 3 in 1 mascara which just helps to create a lovely base on her lashes. Making them appear longer. The next mascara is Rimmel's Scandaleyes, this mascara is super it gives the lashes so much volume. To finish Lauren's look I added a blush from The Body Shop to give her cheeks a rosy glow. Finally for the lips I applied MAC's New york apple. This is a cranberry colour with a hint of shimmer. I really like the look of this on Lauren's lips.

Next on to Tanya, I wanted to define her eyes more whilst keeping the rest of her look subtle and fresh.
To create this look I first applied E.L.f.'s Flawless foundation all over her face this evens out her skin tone ready to apply concealer to any problem areas. I applied the concealer to her under eye are and on her chin. For eyes I used different shades of pink to create a girly date look.

As you can see a light pink was placed all over the eye and the a darker fuchsia colour was places in the outer corner then blended to create the final look. To add more definition to her eyes I added quite thick eye liner to her top lash line. I think this really opens up her eyes and make them the key feature on her face.

For Mascara I used MeMeMe's FatCat mascara, Tanyas top lashes were not as defined as her bottom ones in the before so I used this mascara to even out the definition. On top of this mascara I added one coat of Rimmel's Day to Night just to add to the length.

For blush I used a lovely dusky pink colour from E.L.F called Innocence, it gives Tanya a natural flush.

For lips I tried three different lipsticks before I finally decided on one.

The 3 I tried out were The Body Shop number 54, Revlon's lip butter in peach parfait and Rimmel's Kate moss in Soft pink. In the end I went for The Body Shop one because The shimmer it brought to her lips was lovely and it made her lips look healthy and full.

I really enjoyed doing their make up and have already had a request to do one of my other friends make up.

What do you think? How did you do your make up for valentines day?

February Glossybox!...

Wooo second box of the year has arrived! And this months theme is of course Valentines day!
The box its self it different to usual, it is still pink but has a darker pink flower bow design on the lid of the box. I think it looks rather lovely. Inside the box there is the usual tissue paper, ribbon and sticker :)
Right time to look inside and see what I have got this month. Im glad to see a few more make up products this month. As well as some full size products :)

So first up is the Sassoon Professional Spray shine, this product is meant to make you hair have a healthy glow and feel soft and luxurious. I tested it out on my hair and I did see a difference in the amount of shine my hair had but apart from that it didn't make my hair feel softer or healthier. The smell is okay but is quite alcohol-y which is a little bit off putting.  The full size of this product is (250ml) £14.89 making my 50ml sample worth £2.97, another thing I like about this product is the size it is great to just throw in my bag.

Next I see a product from a brand I have been sent before in a Glossybox. The product is by Anatomicals and is their You need a Blooming shower! It is a body cleanser which smell of rose and jasmine, the smell is not horrible but not one I want my body to smell of I think the rose is too over powering. The cleanser its self is a pinky colour and foams up really well. I think it makes a great shower gel just a shame about the smell. Full size product is 300ml for £5 which makes my sample of 150ml worth £2.50.

Now onto the first make up product I received. It is a lip stick by the brand Miners. The colour I have been sent is called Dreamer and is a lovely dusky pink, it has great pigmentation and moisturising qualities. For me the best parts about this lipstick are the packaging and the taste. ( I licked my lips and it tasted like hubba bubba bubble gum) I love receiving lip products in Glossybox because i'm always trying to find great new colours and brands. This is the first of the full size products 4g for £3.99 which makes the brand affordable. :)

The next product is from a brand I haven't heard of before Micabella cosmetics have provided a Mineral eye shadow in the shade Intelligence. This eye shadow is a pigment so when I opened my pot a little product went everywhere but that aside the colour I have is lovely it is a bronze/gold. The shimmer in the shadow is stunning it is very reflective great for nights out or I guess date nights. The sample its self is a little disappointing it is very small and I would have liked a bit more product. The full size of this product is (2.5g) £14.95 which makes my sample of 1g worth £5.98. One of the great things about this product is the water proof qualities it has which hopefully will mean even in pouring rain or a breakdown it won't smudge :)

The final sample is the MeMeMe FatCat Volumising mascara in black. I have had products from the brand MeMeMe before but I haven't ever had one of their mascaras. I like the fact they have sent black as I'm not to keen on brown mascaras. They say that the whiskered brush gives puuurrrfect eye catching results. I think it is a nice mascara but nothing to rave about. I wouldn't go out and buy it but it will get used. The packaging of this product is lush.  This is the second full size product in my box and is worth £7.99

As it is Valentines day this month Glossybox added in a little gift. A yummy heart shaped lolly :) It was very nice, I ate it straight away!

So this months box was definitely better than the January box the product inside were much more suited to me and I love them all apart from the anatomicals body cleanser the smell just isn't one I will use. But over all well done Glossybox you have redeemed your selves!

The total price of my box this month is £23.43 which is great for the £10 +pp you pay for the box :)

Im so happy with my box did you like your products? Let me know!

Awesome top and Make-up bits......

Today I popped into town and ended up in Primark and Superdrug, Im going to show you what lovely goodies I got :)
So Primark first and they have some amazing dupes to the Topshop 'Nerd', 'Loser' tops. The one I have bought is navy blue and says Loser.

I love this top and have been wanted to get one for ages but £18 pounds is a little more than I would want to spend, so £4 is a much better price :) There are 2 other designs in Primark 'Nerd' and 'Epic'.

Next comes Superdrug I got two products a Rimmel Apocalips lip colour and a Maybelline 24 hour tattoo.

The Rimmel Apocalips lip laquer is in the shade Celestial, it is a coraly pink. I really like the finish you get from this product. It stays on the lip for a while which is great. The only thing I dislike about this is when you first apply there is a sticky texture until it kind of 'dries' but after then it is super :) There are 8 shade in the Apocalips range each £5.99 which is a great price! Each of the shades have great pigmentation which is super duper :)
If you follow my blog you will see that this product was in my february wish list, I was so excited to try it. The colour I have got is called On and On bronze its a great everyday colour which could be teamed with black mascara or for a night out team with winged liquid liner and falsies :) The colour payoff is great as you can see from the photo, and really does stay for 24 hours which is amazing.
The colour tattoos are £4.99 each which again is a great price for something that will last along time.

That's all I got today hopefully I will get some money soon and get some more lovely products to review.

Sure Compressed Deodorant... BzzAgent Review.

So I have been chosen to take part in my first Bzz campaign. Bzz agents is a website which enables you to take surveys and depending on your answers take part in new and exciting campaigns.

The product I have been sent is the new Sure compressed deodorant. The exciting feature of this product is that it is the same amount of product in a can half the size.

After using this product for the past two days I have decided that I love the packaging it is the perfect size for my bag and I can take it on the go. I however am not 100% loving the scent it is okay but I prefer a fresher smell one with a hint of lemon maybe. But by no means is it a nasty smell more of a light floral scent.

I am going to continue using the product and I will update if my opinion changes. At the moment I would give this product 4/5 maybe the smell will grow on me and it will raise up to 5/5 :)

This product is in shop from the 4th of February so if you would like to try it out for yourself you can get it from supermarkets including Tesco and Online.

January Glossybox!

So my friend Mark bought me a 3 month subscription to Glossybox for christmas and this month the first box came through :)
This month the box was back to the normal pink box with black paper and pink ribbon. Every time I get a Glossybox I remember how much I love the packaging :)

The theme of the box this month is Detox, which is a nice idea as over the xmas period we all tend to indulge a little to much.

Last month we were treated to 5 samples and an extra goodie and Glossybox have decided to carry that onto this month as well so this box has 5 samples and a added goodie.

Time to have a look at what we have in this box:

Firstly I see the Monu Micro Exfolioant. This is a really nice exfoliator, I have used it twice now and it has left my skin feeling really smooth. The smell isn't that nice but one that could be expected from a skincare product.

The full size price of this product (100ml) is £14.50, which makes the sample I received £4.35 for 30ml.

Next is the BM Beauty Dewy Perfection finishing Powder, at first look I think this sample is a rubbish size the pot looks something someone has thrown out. Very disappointed with the presentation of this sample. When I actually tried this product though it is lovely. Leaves the skin looking healthy and dewy. Rather than a finishing powder I would use this product as a highlighter for the cheek.
The full size would be £8 for 4g so my sample is £2 for 1g.
After that I saw the Eco-Boutique Body Lotion in the scent Aloe leaf and Green tea, the scent isn't anything to rave home about it is pleasant kind of smells like a cheap haircare product does. The good thing about this product is the fact that is has no parabens, no sls, no paraffin oil, no silicones and no artificial colours this make the product great for detoxing your body of all the bad things we normally put on it.

The stupid thing about this sample being in the Glossybox is that you can't actually buy it separate but as part of a 6 piece gift set priced at £8.50 for 50ml, so taking that price dividing by six and then finding  the price of 30ml my sample is worth 85p pretty disappointing really.

The next product is the one I am most excited about from the whole box. The Murad HydroDynamic ultimate moisture for eyes is a eye cream said to moisturise and replenish for up to 8 hours. I tested this on my eye area for 4 days and I think that I definitely notice a change my eyes feel more awake and moisturised. To me the best thing about this product is the fact it sinks into the skin straight away. There isn't really a smell to this product which again is a good thing.

The full price of this product (15ml) is £57 pounds making my sample £13.30 for 3.5ml which is a really good sample as the brand is highly recommended and reviewed. I will be continuing to use up the rest of my sample and will do a full review at a later date.

The final sample in this months box is the Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Thermal Transformation Mask. This mask comes in two steps a cleanser to remove any traces of make up before use and then the clay mask said to improve the appearance of wrinkles without the use of cosmetic injections. to be honest I will not use this product as I'm only 20 so don't think I need to worry about wrinkles just yet. I have a friend who is into protecting her skin so this product will be going to her. One thing I notice is it is called 30 day thermal transformation yet it is a small foil packet with about 2 days worth of product at most. I always hate when a product is going to take more than a few uses to see the effects yet only a small sample is given??
The full size of this product is (50ml step 1 and 75ml step 2) £27.50 which makes my sample £2.31 3.5ml step 1 and 7ml of step 2.

Now onto the free goodie in this months box. It is a Glossybox sleep mask. Quite a random gift but still a nice gesture. The mask is a pinky colour with black writing on it which says 'Glossy Dreams'. Very cheesy!! But like I say its an added extra that will make no difference to the total value of this months box.

Right time to give my thoughts on this box.... for me it is a shame that some of the products were not slightly larger or better thought out but there was some diamonds in there the Murad eye cream is a super product and one I will continue testing. The overall price of my Glossybox this month is £22.81 which isn't bad considering the price paid for the box but hopefully in next months box there will be a few more makeup products rather than all skincare. Bring on February! :)

Top 10 Animated Movies of all time...

I have decided to do this post on my favourite 10 animated films... I am in my final year of my degree (in animation) and have lost my love and spark for animation a little bit. I'm hoping looking back over my favourite films will help get my love back.

So lets get started number 10 is....
 The Incredibles.
I love the family bond in this film, each member of the family has there own place and job to do even if sometimes they may feel on the outside. I also think the animation in this film is awesome. My favourite character is Edna Mode.
Number 9 is...
Up.
My favourite part in this film is when the house first takes off. The way the light is animated is lovely and makes me really appreciate the art of animation. I love Russell's persistence in trying to get his badge for scouts.
Number 8 is...
How to train your dragon.
I went to see this film in 3d and it was one of the first ones I went to see again because the story just grabbed me and the landscape designs and animation was amazing! My favourite character is Toothless, he is so mysterious at first but turns out to be a loveable character.
Number 7 is....
Tangled
This film is a take on the story of Rapunzal, I love how the characters are all different but there is still the underlying story of Rapunzal. My favourite scene is the one where all the lanterns are released into the sky to celebrate the princesses birthday. It is beautiful!!
Number 6 is...
The Lion King.
What a classic! I challenge anyone to not cry when Mufasa dies, this film combines comedy with music and to top it off a few sad scenes too. I love Timone I think he is my favourite character. The combo of Timone and Pumba is a great one and really adds to the comedy of the film.
Number 5 is...
Coraline.
This is my favourite Stop motion film. The skill involved in the animation of this film is epic. I have watched many documentaries on how this film was created and it is so inspiring, I would definitely like to go into stop motion after I finish my degree. I love the other mothers world.
Number 4 is...
Toy Story 2.
Where to start with toy story I think everything about this film is amazing. The first film was really good and the story really captured audiences attention but for my the addition of Jessie and Bulls eye just added to they story. My favourite part in this film is the bloopers at the end. This was the first time I had seen animated bloopers in that style before.
Number 3 is..
Finding Nemo.
An underwater adventure, with a great family story running along side comedy. Each character in this film could easily be watched all day. There is nothing about this film I don't like. My favourite character is Dory she is so funny and comes out with some great one liners.
Number 2 is...
The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
This was the first film I ever saw in the cinema and I had to leave when Frollo set fire to the city. I love the scene in Quasimodo's bedroom with the light reflecting all over with lovely colours. The meaning behind this film is one I really appreciate.
And Finally Number 1 goes to...
Mulan.
I love this film!!!! Every part of this film excites me. The music, the characters, the comedy and the emotion. Brilliant. Will take a lot for me to get a new favourite animated film. If you have not seen Mulan go watch it. :)
So there you go my top 10 animated films. Many other great animated films have been released but to choose just 10 was rather hard.

Give it a go see if you can decide upon your favourite 10 Animated films.
